Attention & Focus Test

Click the targets, ignore the distractors. Measures sustained attention, accuracy, and false-positive rate over 60 seconds.

Sustained: A target symbol appears among others. Click it every time you see it. Selective: Click only the target color, ignore all others. Respond as quickly and accurately as possible. Stay focused for the entire duration.

About Attention Test

Sustained attention (vigilance) is the ability to maintain focus over time. Selective attention filters relevant stimuli from distractors. Both decline with fatigue, sleep deprivation, and age. The d' (d-prime) score from signal detection theory measures sensitivity: d' = Z(hit rate) − Z(false alarm rate). Higher d' = better attention. Average adults show attention lapses roughly every 10–20 minutes during monotonous tasks. Regular breaks and sleep improve performance.
