About Companion Planting
Companion planting uses natural plant relationships to improve growth, repel pests, and attract pollinators. The classic Three Sisters (corn + beans + squash) is a Native American example: corn provides structure for beans, beans fix nitrogen, squash shades the ground to retain moisture. Marigolds repel nematodes and aphids near tomatoes. Avoid planting fennel near most vegetables β it inhibits growth of many plants.
